Awesomely Artistic with vellum

I managed to grab a little bit of stamping time, which is no mean feat right now. My reduced stamping time/space is forcing me to keep things simple, which is a little frustrating as I was just entering a phase of dabbling with different techniques. But my kitchen table doesn’t have room for all the supplies required for fancy techniques right now, so simple stamping it is.

And I hope this card shows that you can keep things simple and still produce something pretty. I wanted to use the little round stamp from this set as I hadn’t inked it up yet, and I felt it was just asking to be mounted on a small scallop circle. I hesitated to stamp the ferns on top of the other foliage, so decided to stamp them on a piece of vellum to see how they looked first. Then I decided I liked the vellum, so kept it! The ink splatters are stamped off onto scrap paper first, to keep them subtle.

This colour combo isn’t from my In Color charts but it could easily have been. Watermelon Wonder, Tip Top Taupe, Mossy Meadow and Very Vanilla seems like a winning combo to me!

    1. It's extremely versatile as there are so many different elements; it's 2015's answer to Kinda Eclectic
